MeritDirect is seeking a VP, Product Management to assume overall responsibility for defining and bringing products to market, serving as the primary lead for the definition, solution model, calendaring, roadmap and go to market plan.  S/he will act as the bridge between technology, marketing, sales, and the rest of the management team, integrating and aligning organizational goals with purposeful innovation and overseeing a collaborative and inclusive process.  The successful incumbent must be technically strong and possess the ability to understand the current and future needs of the customer and translate them into goals and features.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and execute the vision and strategy for MeritDirect’s products
  • Manage and prioritize product and feature requests in a company-wide product roadmap
  • Oversee the product P&L
  • Manage the product lifecycle


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing data products
  • Prior experience with market research, planning, and using case development (including financial models)
  • Understanding of product planning and design, including management of Product Requirements Documents
  • Strong ability to oversee implementation, proofs of concept and testing
  • Experience developing launch plans
  • Highly collaborative individual with the ability to wear multiple hats (e.g. business, technical, design, research, people management) and channel multiple points of view
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to see the big picture and the small details
